This product was purchased to stop the flow of water on a shower head with a long hose attached. The thread at the end of the shower hose was fine. The thread on the end of the shower head does not match any of the multiple shower heads and does not have the same thread pattern as the thread on the other end of the plug. Didn't work for me; the handle extends beyond the back of the valve. I tried using it on a bidet T-connector. If I couldn't set the exact angle of this fitting, there would be interference. It's also an NPT thread versus NPS so I'd still have to use plenty of pipe lube. Whatever you attach, make sure you have an extra 3/4 inch of clearance for the handle. Looks great and solid out of the box. Bought to shut off the coolant flow to my excavator's heater core during the summer months so the cab doesn't get as hot. Screwed directly into the engine block.
