Inexpensive materials. Save money, buy something else.

I bought this to sharpen my Derwent colored pencils. Derwent's colored pencils are slightly wider than regular colored pencils. I was disappointed they didn't fit! In addition, because the sharpener is a Derwent product, cheap materials are used in the sharpener itself. The blade is very very cheap and I paid $9 for that piece of cheap plastic! Shame on you Derwent for putting out such a cheap product that won't work with your crayons! Beyond anger and frustration.

Pros
  • Just throw it in your backpack
Cons
  • Something else

They work great for a while, but when they get dull you have to throw them out and buy new ones. The best hand sharpeners seem to have no capacity and are dirty. What I did do was remove the real little white wedge from that Derwent sharpener and replace the whole thing with a heavier duty 2-hole kum silver…
