Not as described on the site.

I found this blanket just like any other wool blanket. It's rough and itchy. I believe it's mainly sheep's wool as it's not as soft as described. There is also a pretty strong smell associated with it that literally turned my stomach. I couldn't sleep under that blanket.

A very comfortable blanket.

The quilt is thicker than expected, which is good. I sleep much better with it because it keeps my body temperature more stable over a wider range of room temperatures. It has a fairly strong lanolin odor when you first take it out of the container, but it goes away after a few days and doesn't cause any problems. I like this blanket very much and for me it was worth it. I used to have big problems with temperature control. I was either too cold or too hot, often in the same night. I don't have

A great blanket to keep with you all winter!

Alpaca wool really makes a big difference in softness! It smells strongly of lanolin, which many reviewers describe as a chemical smell. It will dissipate over time, but it's the natural smell of wool and for me it's a sign of a 100% wool product :) I'm very happy with this amazing blanket! For anyone wondering how to wash, make sure you use a good wool soap (there's plenty to choose from) and yes you can put it in the washing machine on a gentle setting, but it usually suffices to remove the…

Totally disappointed, bittersweet back.

I received this blanket today and was so excited because the room is very cold and I live in Minnesota. Can you believe my disappointment when I saw a tuft of wool come out before I even got a chance to lay down on my bed? Below you can see the lacing. It just sucks having it back or feeling so good about it. Update: So I requested a replacement because of the issue described above. While hanging the duvet outside to reduce the alpaca's natural odor, I encountered the same issue with the…

Thick Cozy Warm Comfort

I bought this comforter hoping it would be a well tailored, offering the cozy warmth that natural wool is known for, while also wanting the comforter to be really soft to the touch . contact. feels good because the blanket is made of 50% alpaca wool and 50% merino wool. Well, I have no hesitation in saying that he exceeded all my expectations. I received the blanket quickly. When I took it out and examined it, I immediately liked the feel of the blanket's thickness. The blend of alpaca and…

It's like magic: comforters and bedspreads

Well I'm picky about most things and blankets are no exception. I bought a Rumpl fleece blanket a few years ago and it was so warm I was comfortable sleeping in it in the cold. I still use it and love it BUT when it gets hot it makes me sweat. Because when it's warmer outside I bought a cotton knit blanket which is insanely cool, but once the temperature drops below 40 I might as well sleep naked. However, this is a blanket. This thing must be from Hogwarts or something. It is very soft but not

Exceeded expectations!

After reading the reviews with the low ratings I had some doubts but decided to give it a try anyway. And I'm glad I did! :0) Thick, soft, light to medium weight, nice shades of beige and brown (I bought caramel), and most importantly - its ability to warm almost instantly when you dip underneath it in a cool, almost cold bedroom (this is how I like to sleep). I have a much thicker, puffier duvet with some "down alternative"/polyfill and it's warm too, but in the winter I shiver for minutes…

The best blanket in the world!

I am 60 years old and have had many blankets in my life. but this is the highest quality blanket I have ever owned and seen! It is not a cheap product like most of the things that we buy from the stores around us on a daily basis. There are no shops nearby that sell these handmade blankets! Cold nights and warm bed; I have slept with an electric mattress topper to stay warm at night for 20 years as I only weigh 124 pounds. I had no fat to insulate at night when my body temperature was at its…

That's the real deal.

I don't write many reviews but I want to thank the designer and manufacturer of this duvet. I raise sheep for wool and sell raw wool to spinners so I can judge the quality. However, I don't have the skills to make my own blanket and I've wanted one for a long time. I've searched and searched and just came across this on Revain. In today's world of factory products, it's a real treat to find something this well made at a reasonable price. It's not as soft as synthetic fibers but real wool that…
