As the exhaust on most bikes gets hot and radiates a lot of heat. So I decided I would give it a try. First, I had to go with the 1" wrap. It would be easier to avoid sharp turns. Other than that, it seems to work quite well. I no longer feel the searing heat emanating from the panels on my legs. Another thing, what has happened is that now that all the hot gas has to exit the back of the pipe it has burned the entire gasket of my muffler so now it has an even deeper beautiful note!

This foil works pretty well and is more than long enough for the head of my Yamaha Dual Sport. I would recommend using gloves when installing as it was messier than expected and who knows what this thing is made of so it doesn't get burned. Because it's not fiberglass, you don't need to wear gloves, making installation easier. I used all 50 touches to wrap around my same length 07 STI headers. I may have had a little OCD but it's cheap so why now. Ordered 15 more to complete the down tube. This was ordered for a whole house propane generator (Winco/ONAN 25kW). The original 14 year old packaging fell off and I could see the glowing red tubes.
