Review on πŸ”₯ High-quality Exhaust Heat Wrap - Design Engineering 010121, 2" x 15' Roll in Black by David Fisher

Revainrating 4 out of 5

As expected, clips apply better, watch out for unwinding

Let's see if it works well enough to justify installing it. I started with a 2" width but found it difficult not to bend in the exhaust bends so I switched to a second 1" pipe. Also, I didn't like the fit or the use of steel straps. If you tighten them, the foil will twist. Hose clamps are much easier to use and more reliable. I painted my foil with silicone high temperature paint before installation and wrapped the installed exhaust pipe. I had trouble removing the exhaust so I left it on. I recommend steaming a little to wrap tighter. It either leaches out of film or paint black. Four stars for making the film very easy to unravel. Wherever you cut it, the threads will start to diverge. Wetting helps hold it together during wrapping. I have photos of packaging, ribbons and clips. I removed most of the zip ties and replaced them with zip ties. You can simply measure the diameter of the pipe and purchase multiple clamps of that size. I've also included a photo of the smoke from the first burnout after installation. It was still noticeably warm, but I'm hoping there's less chance of getting burned in an accidental impact with the quad.
