Description of Design Engineering 010470 Sleeve Protection

Use for bundling and protecting hoses, electrical wiring, etc. from high temperatures. Insulates wiring, hoses, oil / brake / transmission lines, and more. Withstands 500 degrees F continuous heat and 2000 degrees F intermittent heat. If you have fittings on your line, you may need to order one size up. You can achieve between 1/16 and 1/8 inch stretch out of our material. This may help on installs with fittings already on the lines. Provides burn protection during under-hood repairs and maintenance. Constructed of a woven insulated glass fiber braided sleeve heavily coated with 100% iron oxide silicone rubber; includes 16-inches Fire Tape.

Essential Sleeve for Your Ride!

the sleeve is the unsung hero in automotive accessories. It provides reliable protection against scratches, corrosion, and abrasion for your beloved ride. Buy a larger inner diameter for your hose OD

This was unclear in the reviews and Q&A section of this description but now that I have the product I realize that with my 3/8" rubber fuel line I have a 5/8" Fire hose needed. Even got a big sleeve, it was hard to pull it over 1 foot of rubber tubing. It looks good but there are large bulges on the sleeve for tight curves. It could be better with a tighter sleeve but I don't have the patience to pull it longer than 2 minutes. Overall it looks good. I assume it works as advertised.
