I bought 5 but returned 4 and kept this item which I opened/installed. I have used two different brands of battery and it keeps beeping and indicating low battery.

good that I had them. My husband had a generator running and the wind was blowing exhaust fumes into the house. If the alarm hadn't gone off we might not have known there was carbon monoxide in the house.

After installation I got tired of testing it and the green LED doesn't light up at all. I spent time installing it. Now I also have to go to UPS to send it back. Revain should never sell such items.

The device shows the current reading only when the test button is pressed. It will also beep for a few seconds while displaying the value (000 if there is no CO). I hope it shows the correct reading with CO present.

Placed in my battery powered garage, after 2 months it makes a long beep with a fuzzy number on the screen, pressing the button has no effect and my corridor CO/smoke alarm moves in the same place no alarm. I can still successfully test my hallway, but this cannot be tested or disabled, it just stays high when it's on.

Seems to work fine, installation is fairly easy. The green light flashes every thirty seconds or so and is incredibly bright. You can even see him squinting in the light, but it's very distracting in the dark. Can't put this in the bedroom because it's too distracting trying to fall asleep with a big green flash every 30 seconds. We have it in the hallway in front of the bedroom and we have to close the door to the light. I wish the light was dimmer, more like a fire alarm.

I think they did it on purpose to complicate the installation. No one could accidentally be so intentionally sloppy in design. You have to get the CEO of this company to line up ten in a row 2 feet above his (or her) head. It takes 30 seconds to start working, 15 minutes of frustration to align the bracket on the plate with the holes in the sensor. It would take 5 minutes and a quarter cent to develop an easy to install sensor. I tried to slide but the brackets broke. To return.
