Nice and bright, best in microscopes

I actually used this as a light for my drill press. It worked very well. It just takes a little work on the ends of the set screws to stay tight on the spring.

Pros
  • camera and photo
Cons
  • unreliable

Suitable for intended use but not UL marked

This lamp is easy to install and fits my microscope perfectly. The only downside to be aware of for safety reasons is that it is not UL marked.

Pros
  • Microscopes
Cons
  • I have no particular complaints about it, everything is fine

Works for me: Binoculars and Scope

I just installed it on my microscope. I use it to make watch parts. It mounts easily on round nose microscopes and the screws have good friction so they stay in place. It provides sufficient lighting for observation work.

Pros
  • Electronics
Cons
  • Upgradeable

Bright but bluish on metal objects

The price is right, the brightness adjustment is smooth and easy to use. I use this with a Celestron digital microscope and it's easy and quick to set up. My only complaint is that there is a bluish cast when looking at shiny items like nickel or chrome. However, I'm not sure of the actual cause as it could be a problem with my Celestron electronics.

Pros
  • Stereo microscopes
Cons
  • Some problems
