works well in abrasives and finishes

I have a Staccato panel outside my house. Periodically, the paint begins to crack (4 times in 40 years). I use a wire cup like this to go over it with an angle grinder before repainting.

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons

Better wear safety goggles and a protective mask!

I have never pulled as many wires out of my legs and clothes as I have with this brush! any direction. Although the brush did the job until it was 1/2 inch long, I finally decided to toss it. I was hoping it would take longer than 2 days. Yes, 2 DAYS! Invest in a good face shield, trust me.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Protection

It stretches a bit - holds its shape, polishes/cleans well.

Love it. I have a 2" short extension which allows it to stick out a bit more for that "reach". I use it to purposely clean my grill and it works great. Doesn't bleed/stretch as much as the cheaper stuff which is a plus! So QUALITY! Really great on the grill. Makes a mess but that's part of the process. I also have a 6" disc on a Metabo 7" grinder and damn hold on better tight!

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Available in white only

Holds well for abrasive brushes

My angle grinder is my most useful tool. I use this cup brush for all the things I used a wire brush: removing rust when polishing metal etc. Some of the bristles fell out on my first use but after that they stayed intact and I got a lot of maintenance out of it it. I bought a red one that looked the same from Harbor Freight to replace which was a mistake. The bristles of the HF uncurled quickly and were bent outward 90 degrees after 1 use. Spend the extra money and buy this DeWalt brush!

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Doubt

Used to remove plaster residue from brick walls

After working with a plastic brush and water for a few days I bought this to remove plaster residue and "bits" that come up after plastering of a very old brick wall. This completed the project quickly and did not damage the mortar in the joints themselves. I will still use a cleaning brush and water to bring the bricks to a shine but this tool saved me weeks of work the hard way. Note: Although this wire brush didn't work the grout into the brick wall, I'm pretty sure we have a new type of…

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Out of style
