This worked on my plastered wall to hang house numbers. I had to be careful not to press so hard that the bit would bend. It eventually went through the plastered wall and I was able to hang the numbers with my 20 volt drill. I'm glad I didn't have to use a puncher for this job. I am happy with the purchase.
Pros
Three flats on the shaft prevent the bit from slipping in the chuck
I bought this bit to help with Tapcon screws; Tapcon brand bits are a bit pricey so this bit seemed like a good deal. To date I've used it to fasten just over 25 Tapcon screws in log walls, almost all in cement grout lines. At these prices I will order two or three more bits. They are of good length and seem to retain their sharpness after many uses.
Pros
CARBIDE tip provides maximum carbide contact with the surface for longer tip life.
Thick old lathe and plastered walls and just replastered. Pilot holes, pilot holes. Rescuer. Simply beautiful and stable. Slowly smooth. No pressure. No pulling or pulling. Worked like a charm and helped install new anchors. The result is nice round and narrow holes. Not found in most kits so I picked up a few and am glad I did. Works great as a pilot for a regular old Dewalt Jane 3/16" cordless drill.
