Top-Notch Performance From Heavy-Duty Bit

As an industrial and scientific enthusiast, I recently tested the DEWALT carbide bit and was extremely impressed with the results. The bit sliced through concrete and masonry like butter, making quick work of even the toughest jobs. The durability of the bit is unmatched, proving to be a reliable and long-lasting addition to my toolkit. While the price point may be higher than some other options on the market, the quality and performance justify the investment.

Pros
  • Excellent performance on tough materials, long-lasting durability.
Cons
  • Higher price point compared to some competitors.

This along with the hammer drill cuts concrete like butter

I tried an old 5/8" masonry bit and a standard bit to drill some holes in my garage slab. I gave up after 10 minutes and didn't make a single hole. I bought a hammer drill and this bit and made all three holes (3" deep) in about 5 minutes. in my house. I also had to install a base for two new shower pan surrounds (stacked 2x4). Down or blunt. This drill seems one to be an investment for life.

Pros
  • Clean, round holes: two sharp cutting edges for real holes
Cons
  • Doubtful

Didn't take long! (updated)

TLDR; GREAT customer service - the drill ended up working great. This drill worked well and cut like butter. But when I took it out of the third hole, the carbide broke off on one side (see picture). The chisel kept cutting and stayed the same shape after the 7th hole. My guess is that this is a manufacturing defect of the carbide. Let's see what DeWalt has to say and if their "uptime guarantee" will help me. Apart from the chip it's 5 stars so far. I'll post a little more on the wear and tear…

Pros
  • Wear Indicator: Used to accurately determine hole diameters
Cons
  • Elderly Questionable Purchase
