Description of ๐Ÿ”ช DEWALT Dado Blade Set: 8-Inch, 24-Tooth - Top Quality and Precision

Heavy gauge, laser cut plates provide true, accurate cuts. Micro-grain carbide teeth deliver clean cuts and reduce splintering. 4-tooth chippers give smooth, flat bottom cuts. Stainless steel shims allow for ultra-fine width adjustments. Heavy duty storage case protects blades against chipped teeth and damage.

Top performance at half the price.

I am a trained carpenter. I had a Dado King set which I really liked. Unfortunately my Dado King was stolen. I really didn't want to spend $250 on King Dado so after reading the reviews on this Dewalt set I decided to give it a try. I am very impressed. I've just used it on some cabinets and it Dado cut from pre-finished maple and oak veneer plywood with no chipped or broken edges (you'll need a zero split board like you would for any other blade). I would be willing to say that I like this set

Excellent, clean, even cuts. Very easy to set up. Worth every penny!

This Dado set from DeWalt did not disappoint. I have been using the Freud SD208 screwdriver set for quite some time with very good results. For the money it offers a good quality dado but I find it time consuming to set up. This Dewalt set is much easier to set up with four winged choppers than the two on Freud. It is very easy for Freud to damage the tip of a carbide blade if the choppers are not adjusted properly and are not touching. No problem with this DeWalt set. For a few bucks more Iโ€ฆ

Flat bottom, EXCELLENT case.

Dado flat bottom. Well packaged (outer sheets with indestructible rubber edge protection). GREAT storage/carrying case with blades at the bottom and choppers at the top, each held in place by a threaded plastic nut. The outer knives have a raised cage and the chopper ends alternate in the body, keeping ALL the carbide teeth clear. Another review complained about the lack of flat bottom cuts and backed up this claim by showing a chart of the beveled edges of the outer blades from the manualโ€ฆ

Compatible with Ridgid R4512

I have a Ridgid R4512 hybrid table saw and this set of pads are compatible. At first I had trouble understanding how the riving knife release lever would work with the notch installed as the lever hit the blades when I tried to re-latch it. After some research I found that the only purpose of the lever is to lock the riving knife/splitter in place and when using a notch stack the lever should be left in a vertical position. The downside is you can't cut a dado deeper than 1.5 inches without the

Good tool bad case

I bought this about 6 months ago for a project my client canceled. It arrived on time and in good condition. I particularly liked that they included a chart of which blades to place and the order in which to create different slot widths. Since then I have used the set several times and I am very satisfied with the blades. The only thing I'm dissatisfied with is the case. I didn't originally use the kit as the project I bought it for was canceled. When I opened it up I found that the screwโ€ฆ

A bad grinder, otherwise great item

Great purchase. The suitcase is good. The blades and choppers work well, but with the following problems: 1.) A 1/8 chopper has two carbide teeth that are sharpened .008" larger in diameter than any other teeth in the entire set. I checked this by measuring with . This leaves a stepped groove that is 1/8 inch wide and 0.008 inch deep, deeper than the rest of the bottom of the groove. A bit of a nuisance but I hope they guarantee a shredder and don't require me to send it back. the whole dadoโ€ฆ
