Slow and horribly crosscuts plywood

I bought this specifically for crosscutting plywood. It's so slow (and noisy) and still crops the edges. Disappointed because I generally like Dewalt products.

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • Not as thick as others

Dewalt 90 tooth 6 1/2 " blade

Dewalt 90 tooth blade for cutting records and vinyl is exactly what I expected. Fries It was about time to buy more at this price which was 1/2 the price at my local store.

Pros
  • Value for money
Cons
  • Available in black only

Very good saw blade at a good price

I used a circular saw blade to cut a vinyl baseboard that I installed on my RV. The blade did the job well, but make sure you put it backwards on the saw when cutting vinyl baseboard or vinyl siding. I would recommend this disc for cutting vinyl but have not tried it on anything else.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • No machine

Used it to cut Plexiglas sheets.

It was pretty damn cool. Cutting plastic or acrylic can be so excruciating because if you use one of these hand cutters it's very easy to break the entire panel. Using a saw can be just as difficult because if the saw blade doesn't fit, the heat will melt everything. This saw was great. Thanks to the large number of teeth, everything went smoothly and quickly, so as not to melt.

Pros
  • Easy install
Cons
  • Good, but not great

Sharp smooth cutting blade

I got this blade to trim some hollow core interior doors. I've read that you need a blade with more teeth to avoid damaging the surface being cut. So far I've cut 3 doors (80x30) where I need to cut 3 edges each and it's still nice and clear. Plus, I didn't even have to apply masking tape. He made fairly even cuts without damaging the surface. Great deal for less than $10 too!

Pros
  • Trial for one year
Cons
  • Cleanliness

Don't buy that for plywood!

I wrongly assumed this blade would work, but plywood does. Not correct! I've made cuts in 1/4", 1/2" and 3/4" thick maple plywood each with the same results. I changed the speed but still got a lot of chips that went slow. Luckily the cuts were I made initial cuts so I could finish them out for final size on a table saw I replaced them with Freud's D0641X Diablo Finishing Saw which works as it should.

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Shavings do not cut side panels well when cutting vinyl

Acquired to work on side panels I thought it would be easier. It hasn't broken off much of the siding. After a few tries I gave up on the blade and cut by hand with scissors. I'll try bringing the blade back to the front, although there aren't any instructions that say so, and see if there's a different result. Even if you do this, you can just use your regular blade backwards. I am disappointed in this product.

Pros
  • Certified by GOLS
Cons
  • There are nuances

Make wavy cuts! fits blade

I bought this to cut through cabinet doors, thinking the thinner, more numerous blades would make for a cleaner cut. But I made a practice cut (and I'm glad I did!) and found that even with the stop, there were small "ripples" of about 1/2 inch along the cut. So a clean, straight cut won't work. I did a head to head comparison with my old blade - a 40 tooth Diablo blade with about 50 use/wear cuts - and surprisingly it was MUCH more effective. Fence).

Pros
  • Heavy duty construction
Cons
  • fits

Ideal for cutting plastic

We have a vinyl railing and the installers did a terrible job leveling it to the ground so we have gaps under the lower railing. My neighbor has gravel along the fence, we have lawn and their gravel! I bought 2x4 vinyl slats and tore them into 2 L shaped pieces which I attached to the bottom slats between the posts with self tapping screws to close the gap. This blade cuts smoothly and generates no heat, giving you beautiful lines. This has nothing to do with the blade, but if you're cutting…

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
