I use this product for the applications that saber saws are designed for. Works great, blades are easy to change, I'm satisfied.

The instructions give the impression that these blades can be used on both metal and wood. But I found out they only do this on the tree.

I like the reach and the case. My only problem is breaking my nails trying to get the lid off the case, which snaps on too tightly.

Suitable for wood. I used 2 metal to make 2 cuts on a 4" cast iron pipe. Hoping to get more life out of them. Wood and bimetal cut 2x4 like butter.

If you need to cut hardened steel of any kind, don't buy them. Spend your money and buy carbide blades. I used all of the blades in the pack to cut a bolt in half. A carbide blade cut through the rest of the way and sliced through 7 others like butter too.

Bought these heavy duty blades hoping they would last longer than the standard blades I've used for cutting roots in the ground, but they didn't last much longer. I know this isn't the intended purpose, but I was expecting a little more value from the price increase.

These blades are very, very good. I bought a 9" because I knew I could do up to 4 " Racks would operate. And where other blades overheated and deformed very quickly, they didn't. And believe me when I tell you these blades can eat some wood. It took me a while to figure out how I use them best, namely sorting or swinging the blade up and then down.

I received these blades a few days ago and am only now able to write a review. I will be using them on a much larger deck restoration project, but I have yet to test these baddies on a small tree and on an old stump of a small tree that was sticking out of the ground enough to trip over. They cut both a living tree and a small stump like butter, seriously, they couldn't have asked for a better cut. Remember they are 12 inches long.
