Made in the USA by Kitchen Utensils & Gadgets

The best clam knife on the market for the money. Ideal knife for peeling shellfish. I have used these knives for many years and have never broken one.

Pros
  • Very good value

EXTREMELY SHARP. NO GRINDING KNIFE!

I had to open 30 cherry pits but was shocked to see how razor sharp the blade was! Not only was the blade sharp (2 minor cuts, 1 very deep cut) but it also broke off at clam 10! If you order this line, please also order the clam/oyster mitt, you will need it.

Pros
  • Always Loved
Cons

Quality knives for kitchen utensils and gadgets

I bought this for my mother. In the distant past, she owned a restaurant and used Dexter knives. This clamshell knife is also a popular household paring knife. Extremely sharp and high quality. This knife is made to last and my mother had three of them. The only reason we had to buy more than the first knife was that we had somehow lost the first two knives over the years.

Pros
  • Don't waste your time
Cons
  • You could have chosen a newer model

Much loved and used

My grandparents had the same "white handle knife" style (as we call it) for as long as I can remember. Super practical, always on the dining table, much used and loved. Well, it didn't need a replacement, but it did need a mate. They mentioned it a few times so I searched Revain for "White Handle Knife" and found this guy with the same style, it was perfect! I see other people have had rust issues, we haven't had it yet so far so good. They were happy to receive it and use it daily now.

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
  • Expensive

The best clam knife ever!

This is the perfect clam knife! Perfect! The low profile design is just what you need for clam opening. I've been cleaning shellfish for 45 years. This is a smooth entry into a tight clam. (Forget the gutter lol) I mean, cheap wood-handled shell knives have a bevel that usually splits the shell. Buy this knife! Believe me. Ps All Dexter knives are of high quality. Fillet knives are amazing. No sliding handle. The only company I would buy everything you need for fishing from.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Long wait

Be careful, they are no longer made the way they used to be.

I hate to write a bad review but I'm very upset. I have been cleaning small necks with my father's old knife shown in the photo for over 20 years. So when I saw a new version of Revain at a good price, I jumped at it. I use it once or twice a month and it's been fantastic. At least until I looked down and saw a broken blade. To make matters worse, I didn't see where the chip went and I'm praying I don't choke it down my last little throat. Anyway, don't be that guy, but it's clear they're not…

Pros
  • Everything OK!
Cons
  • I'm nervous

No problem good for Seafood Tools

If you have trouble opening a clam with this knife, that's your problem, not the knife. Some shells have been hit so hard that there is no easily identifiable entry point. Mine is less than 10 percent and I vaporize it. Opened 2 dozen clams a week in a year with this knife, no problem. It doesn't say a single one. If you have to use brute force, you're out of the slot and slipping. I like the top necks, about 2 3/4" in diameter, they're easier to hold and let you know you're eating a shellfish.

Pros
  • I'm already looking forward to
Cons
  • The list is getting long.
