Premium quality for life

This is clearly a very high quality mount. It fits perfectly in the trunk floor of my 2015 Toyota Camry. I have another antenna mount on the trunk lip that cost me about $20 and works fine, but there is an obvious difference in quality between the two mounts. You can probably get by with a cheaper device, but if you're looking for a premium, quality mount that will last a lifetime, then this is your kid.

Pros
  • Fixed mount CB radios
Cons
  • Expensive

Ideal for GMRS radio

I have used this antenna with my Midland GMRS radio and am very satisfied. My usage mainly relates to communicating with other vehicles that are part of my off-road group. The cable is very small in diameter and I was able to route it through the firewall and into the engine compartment to connect to the radio antenna. I mounted the antenna on the roof rack and when I don't need the antenna I removed the antenna from the base and screwed on the steel cover which is an extra cost.

Pros
  • Portable audio and video
Cons
  • Reliability

I bought these for a ham radio antenna for my Jeep after a YouTuber recommended them. The quality seems excellent. I love how you can easily adjust the angles with the highly flexible and rattle-free pads. I don't like the way the ground wire works (basically just tightening a small screw through the paint until it hits the metal). This is probably not a good long term connection strategy for high vibration applications. That's the beginning, but I think the best placement is in the back behind

Pros
  • CB Radios & Scanners
Cons
  • Some Trouble

Exactly what I wanted - almost

I have an aging but classic Dodge Ram 1500 Larime that will be passed on to our son later this year. So I didn't want to mark, hammer, or drill the truck to keep it in tip-top shape. So no drilling, no heavy magnetic mounts etc. Nothing permanent or destructive. This bracket was the perfect solution and mounts on the driver's side edge of the hood. Very similar to the hood mounts you've seen for trucks, but much more secure than a piece of metal sticking out of a car in my opinion. This mount…

Pros
  • CB and radio
Cons
  • Doubt

The mount seems great but parts are missing

The mount may work great (still waiting for its diamond antenna) and attaches nicely to the hood of my jeep; However, I had to deduct two stars because I didn't get what I ordered. The adapter that should have been included (and would have if I had just bought the mount from HRO) was not in the package. I got stuck on ordering another adapter hoping it would be delivered to me with same day shipping.

Pros
  • Electronics
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
