Ideal for drilling porcelain stoneware for shower doors. Tried a cemented carbide drill bit for masonry but that was a waste. I ordered them and they arrived the next day which was perfect. Not sure how long they will last but I would order again even if they only lasted one job at this price point. I drilled six holes and the last one was just as easy as the first. Don't drive at full speed and keep them wet. I had an assistant who would squirt water about every few seconds to keep it cool.

I managed to drill a hole and a half in glass tile before the drill bit was almost worn out. used a slow gear for the drill and moved quite slowly but progress slowed at hole number one and made no progress at hole number two when I was halfway through the tile. All I could do was say "Damn!" and continue with the smaller one to the end, then enlarge the hole as I needed. When I finished, the second shot was screwed up. Revain was good to bring it back.

Love these bits! I use them all the time to add drainage holes to my planters! I've used them on both ceramic pots and glass containers (pitchers and even a coffee pot!) and feel they're starting to take over. Don't push too hard, just let the weight of the drill do its job. Spray some water on the hole carefully and regularly to avoid overheating. AND HAVE PATIENCE. If you rush and push too hard, your precious planter will break!
