Not As Advertised - Computer Accessories & Peripherals

While I don't find the screen quality stunning, it theoretically works. My problem is that this product, along with some others I've recently added, is not selling as advertised. I bought this product assuming it included both HDMI and VGA adapters as stated on the box and in the description. However, as you can see in my picture, the box is not as advertised. Had to spend another $12 afterwards to get the part needed to work (most of the time).

  • Quality Construction
Cons
  • Some Flaws

Not spectacular, but it works.

This is just a standard USB video adapter that your computer uses to compress video and send it to the adapter for display on a connected monitor. It was cheaper and came with accessories that my other adapter from my local retail store didn't have. A minor complaint was the mini-USB port, which makes it feel less reliable. Some people may have trouble installing on a non-admin (work) PC. Different DisplayLink chipsets support specific maximum resolutions, so buy the cheapest adapter that…

Works but not as expected

It works, but not in the way I expected. When I ordered this I was trying to connect multiple monitors to my laptop. This feature works but doesn't allow me to have two SEPARATE monitor views. I had a laptop screen and then a separate screen mirrored on both monitors. After further investigation, it turned out that this device is actually just a separator and does not offer the possibility of having all these separate representations. I only removed an asterisk because it contains a link and…

Works well! in DVI-HDMI adapters

I've been skeptical about any USB display device, but this one works surprisingly well. Works great with Windows 10 after running the installation disc. You can adjust the desktop resolution and position through the Windows display properties, just like any other monitor. I didn't experience any noticeable lag, blurring, or stability issues. To be honest, my requirements are relatively low. I'm using this to start my third monitor. This is an old LCD screen with a resolution of 1280 x 1024 I…

Macbook Pro dual monitor solution!

Finally found exactly what I needed. I have a Macbook Pro that only has (1) one Thunderbolt/Mini DisplayPort, so technically I can only connect one external monitor. However, I wanted a different monitor with two screens. It was the solution! Just download and install the driver from the DisplayLink website. Connect the USB port of the laptop and the other end to the monitor. USB 3.0 cable and installation CD. For Mac users: Visit the DisplayLink website, do not use the CD. Simple, easy and IT…

  • practical item

  • not in fashion

ATTENTION MAC USERS! READ:

I AM SO HOW YOU TRIED TO IMPROVE MY MULTITASKING AND I DID NOT WANT TO HEAR OTHER FEEDBACK SO HERE'S MY HONEST REVIEW: I was looking forward to getting one of these for my 2013 MacBook Pro a good 6 months and when I finally did I was very disappointed (I use MacOs Mojave with 16 RAM, ! TB SSD and Intel i5 for those who are wondering). When I tried to install the drivers it didn't work, I tried over 4 different files so I started searching their website and to my surprise the VERSIONS THAT WORK…
