Not a good first. Requires initial fitting with real diamonds

First impressions were how cheaply made it was. Of course I didn't pay much, but there might be 50 cents of cheap plastic in there. Takes a 9 volt battery under the chinsey cover and if you look inside you'll see the battery is DIRECTLY on the side of the circuit board inside. A sequel doesn't look sustainable. Super cheap case. A nice little metal accessory is included to hold loose stones for testing. To be fair, maybe it's easy, but there's no basis for me. and too many variables, to be…

Pros
  • Diamond tester
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Easy to use but must follow the carat indication

Easy to use as you follow the carat indication of the stone. I also use it to test my ruby and sefir, these two stones have a lower hardness and temperature rating than diamond, if you follow the car this little thing will work, just find it interesting, my garnet stone has an even higher rating than mine other expensive stone. By the way, the quality of jade also affects the quantity, but usually it cannot reach the red value. The bad thing I have to complain about is that this one is lighter…

Pros
  • Crafts & Sewing
Cons
  • Very expensive

I have no problem with this

I received it a few days ago and did some testing. I have a few (quite a few) vintage rings, mostly with gemstones, that I wanted to look at. To be honest, I wanted to understand where the garnets are and where the rubies are. Turned it on and waited for it to heat up, looked at the back to see what the calibration rates were and calculated from C to F. It's a lot easier to test jewelry with a tester while you have it in your hand hold, and don't forget Keep your finger on the metal pad behind…

Pros
  • bead and jewelry making
Cons
  • The cord is shorter than others
