I've been using this for a few months now and it's great. This is my first vacuum desoldering tool so I can't directly compare it to anything but it serves the purpose and does it well. I have used a production desoldering station in the past so setting up and running this unit was a breeze. I managed to damage a clogged tip during a production prototype run and had to order a $30 replacement parts kit. If your board has flux in it, it will get into your filters. They can be washed with alcohol, but I ended up replacing all the filters with several layers of paper towels. During the actual production work, the device must be regularly cooled and cleaned.
