The device does not calibrate properly. I did two calibrations. The results are verified by a chemical PH test. Distilled water was used according to all directions. The results were very different from the chemical test. Minus two full PH points.

what i do is all he does. I bought it in June. I just got back from a business trip and needed to get back to my business. It was my first time using it so I figured it was the battery. I went to buy batteries. I can't even return it. I feel so ripped off

I find this meter to be very inaccurate and go up and down for no reason. I measured different solutions in my hydroponic garden that I knew had different pH levels and the meter showed the exact same numbers. I think to get accurate readings you might need to spend a little more money on a better gauge.

Out of the box this showed a high pH of around 1-1.5 units. I used the supplied calibration chemicals and they confirmed that the readings were high. After that I was able to get accurate results for about two weeks before it went too low and lo and behold it went too high again. The only good thing about the tester is that he was so wrong that I knew immediately he couldn't be trusted. If it was only 0.5 I would agree with him.

I didn't make this product straight away but what can I tell you when I decided to use it after buying it a few months later that it wasn't that good was how the numbers keep going up and down it would level out or stabilize and get the exact numbers it's a bit iffy so I don't know them. I gave all three stars because it could be me, but I'm pretty sure I am. I didn't have this type of product before and knew how to use it. I'm just saying you get what you pay for.

I ordered two meters in case I lose one. A meter is normally calibrated by following the instructions that come with the meter and using the calibration packs that come with it. The second meter is not calibrated. The pH was recorded, but it drifted widely (between 3.0 and 9.0) and never stabilized. The instructions state that the sensor can dry and remain in the solution for several hours to fix it. I did so and tried calling a second time. Still didn't work so I sent it back.

I didn't use this product right away but what can I tell you when I decided to use it after buying it a few months later that it wasn't well, as the numbers keep going up and down they would level out or stabilize and get the exact numbers a bit dubious so I don't know them. I gave all three stars because I might be, but I'm sure I haven't had this type of product before and I know how to use it. I'm just saying you get what you pay for
