Made a lovely gift on Kitchen & Dining

It was a gift and she loved it. I used it straight away at Christmas dinner so I'd say it was a hit. She was glad to get it because she couldn't find it anywhere, but she really wanted it. I can't tell you how it's holding up, but when it arrived I found it to be of pretty good quality.

Cons
  • Not sure

Good buy for kitchen and table linen

Essential for cast iron pans. The silicone handles I used are a little flimsy and not good when carrying a heavy pan that gets very hot. They are inexpensive and work well. As with any cloth material used to make a saucepan, be careful not to overuse it as it will transfer heat through the water directly to your hands.

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Without machine

***FIRE HAZARD. BE CAREFUL.

I bought this to use on my cast iron skillet. I assumed (my fault) that it could be used during cooking (and not just to move the pot) and within seconds it caught fire. I had to throw it in the sink and spray water to put it out. The handle was even hanging upside down over the tabletop when it caught fire. I'm so glad I was standing by the stove when it happened. Creepy! Be careful when you buy this.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Hard to say

The upper part of the “mittens” is too thin.

Last night putting on these gloves I burned my hand on the top of the oven. The quilted part is good. The length is good. But the upper part of the mittens (the striped part) is very thin and NOT heat resistant and that is a big problem. I've had them too long to return them. But I won't use them anymore. I won't give or donate them either because I don't pass on the security issue to anyone else.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Compatibility

The component tag is melting!

A white label with the origin of the materials is on the inside of the glove and will melt on contact with a hot pan handle. Worse still, it leaves a sticky goo on the handle that is difficult to remove. I believe this can be mitigated by cutting off the label, but it is positioned in such a way that it would be difficult to cut off. completely without cutting the mitten itself. I think you get what you pay for.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • I vaguely remember
