I love beveled corner seams, they always look more like a finished product and are less likely to fray. After about 4-5 washes, they become more absorbent as the fibers soften. I use them in the kitchen with no problem on countertops, hands, utensils etc. They wash well in warm water and dry well on low temperatures and I haven't found anything to complain about yet.
