This pattern is very cute and the kit includes everything you need to complete the project. I love how this embroidery thread set is organized on paper cards with matching color code numbers next to the threads. Later there is no confusion about which color is light blue and which is medium blue etc. This pattern is a bit more complicated, with a lot of different stitches, so I wouldn't recommend it for beginners.

I bought this for our new granddaughter's birth. The design is beautiful, the colors are very well coordinated. When making cross stitches, I usually sketch the design before sewing as I don't like the colors of animals, leaves, etc. blending into other motifs. It's not what the instructions say, but it's my pet nuisance. It probably won't bother anyone anymore. Just gave it to the shower (minus the birth info that comes before the cut) and it was a hit.

I wanted to mark the birth of my first child but we didn't know what gender and this cross stitch is perfect for a girl or a boy. It's an adorable picture and I love seeing mom and dad's animals mating with the little ones. It took a little longer than I expected, but that's because I developed carpal tunnel last trimester and am slow. But after it was done we had it framed at Michaels (buy a frame there and have them install it) and the end result is perfect. The first picture is better, but…
