Made with Explosion-Proof Carbon and double sealed by black protective guard, this fish tank heater is resistant to corrosion, and protect fish and other livestocks from punching and scalding. The fully submersible aquarium heater enables over heat protection. Auto shut off when over-heats, resets when it cools down. Build-in external IC temp controller, easy to read blue LED digital number shows real time water temperature. Heat indicator lights on red when fish heater start to heat and turns in yellow once it reach set temperature. Temp accuracy is +/- 1°F. Easy to set temperature without getting hands wet. Temperature can be precisely adjusted from 61 to 90°F (16°C ~ 32°C). Just press set button to desired temperature, it blinks 3 seconds and begins to work. 200 watt aquarium heater is ideal for 40-60 gallons fish bowls, small freshwater and saltwater aquariums, betta tank, snail tank and turtle tank.

Inaccurate readings, LED too bright

For my 2GB Beta battery. The box says the 50 watt power is for 12 gram cylinders. The description on Amazon says it's rated for 5-15g, it looks good and seems well made. The only problem is that the thermometer is off by 6-10 degrees. The temp shows 84 and my timeline shows around 78 which is pretty accurate. Seems to be working so far apart from the accuracy. I will monitor the temp and tank and will update again in a few days.

I have 3 for turtles, great product!

I have 3 out of 3 different turtle baths. Bought 2 more after the first one. Not pre-installed, so excellent in itself, wide temperature range. You could probably even use a little more water than recommended because it rises so high. Easy-to-use cable button next to the plug-in for quick access. The LED flashes blue and red to know if the temperature is rising or not. You just have to keep the algae off the screen. That's all I'm going to use for the turtles from now on. Great product so far!

Highly recommended Easy setting of the temperature

Came here to buy another and decided to leave a review. This heater is amazing. I can control the temperature from a wire outside on a small switch. The numbers are bright and it works great. At first when I use it, it shows temperature readings everywhere, but that's fine and ends after a few hours. I will buy another one for my parrot fish tank. He constantly attacks his glass heater and breaks other glass objects in the aquarium. This heater is perfect for his aquarium.

Great heater with a few small quirks.

Heater works very well once you understand two things. First, this heater is only good at 10 degrees above the air temperature in your home. Second, make sure you place this next to your filter. This allows water to flow through so it works optimally. Application Tips: Be sure to fully immerse the heater in the tank and move it back and forth to ensure the air trapped in the ventilated area is expelled. 1-2 degrees below the temperature in about the first week. Edited: stopped working after a few weeks

Thermometer not accurate. It heats up for about 5 seconds, then turns off and the thermometer starts to rise, then fall, then heat up again for another 5 seconds. I had this in my tank for about an hour and it only raised the temperature by half a degree. I do not recommend this product. Edited: good.
