Note: These need use in a right power during working time, please check the product information before purchase. Material: ABS, Iron, Zinc Alloy, PVC; Product Length: Approx. 81mm/3.19’’; Product includes built-In fused cigarette lighter plug with Red LED light. You will receive 5PCS Car Cigarette Lighter which needs a soldering iron or "helping hand" tool to solder wires, and this product needs to be soldering by yourself, it is better that you have some soldering skill. There are notches on the metal parts, a very little space to route wires, some small accessories inside are difficult to work with, so we suggest that you use a wire or insulation which are not thick, and tying a knot in the wire so it doesn't back out of the grommet. Suitable for small power electrical appliances embedded, vacuum, air pump, heating pad, electric cushion, electric cup, car refrigerator, car inflatable pump, car washer, electric fans inverter, etc.

Type of review

Bought for the old design office. No instructions, cumbersome to run wires or soldering space. I suspect you'll have to somehow press the wires against the metal of the terminal, but that's not a given. I soldered and then had to cut some plastic to put the halves together.

Pros
  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • Almost never

Not very useful "inside ".

I think these connectors look really good BUT when you open them up to connect the cables there is very little room to route them. There are no connection points available. There are cutouts on the metal parts, but there's no room to run a cable to them without disturbing the plastic casing. I'll look for another solution using soldering tips or screws.

Pros
  • Great product
Cons
  • This is driving me crazy

Don't use anything other than an amp or something

They're cheap and only good if you use them for something low powered. I have one that runs at a load of just over 2 amps for several hours a day. The plug has good internal resistance, which makes it very hot. At 2 amps it could get hot enough to soften and deform the plastic case, making it dangerous for arc flash. Use them only when you can control the situation.

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • Upgrade available

10A fuse in 3A adapter is disappointing

As mentioned in other posts the spring melts before the fuse blows. It's my fault for plugging it into a 12 amp appliance when the description clearly says 3 amps but could have saved me a lot of time and hassle if the fuse had been 3 amps. It would explode, clearly telling me I was drawing too much current. Instead I figured I did something wrong with the soldering because the spring and housing kept melting.

Pros
  • Quick change
Cons
  • Almost OK

The 2 amp fuse was perfect for my needs

I had to turn on the data logger from time to time to record my Boost/AFR readings. It was perfect for my needs as it came with a 2 amp fuse. The only improvement I'd like to see is some holes to better secure the incoming solder wires to the internal connections, or the use of screw terminals to secure the wires (didn't think of that until I got my soldering iron). heat so I can solder the wires in the connector).

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • Repair

Confirmed: Spring melts body

Liked LED, great price, fast shipping but cumbersome soldering. You could use shorter pieces of metal and jumpers with small pads that are further apart. Therefore, soldering does not require as much heat, and as the wire wears out and the strands break, there is less chance of a short circuit. However, my problem is the spring melting the case at 2 amps without blowing the fuse. 2 amps is the current my laptop draws on its own. Come on guys, you can do better than that.

Pros
  • Feels good
Cons
  • Not the best

does the job. in spares

Needed a new plug for my mini tire compressor it was great value!. Now that Radio Shack is gone, I'm having a hard time finding these plugs. Soldering wires is not for beginners, especially if you want the LED to work. Better made than most car lighter accessories I own. I also use them to quickly connect 12V and 24V power supplies for model railways. cylinder fuse. This could be phased out as auto glass fuses become extinct. If a fuse is to be included it is advisable that they use a cartridge

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Don't waste your money

Another time I should have paid attention to reviews. But since I have many years of soldering experience, including military ones, I figured I could make it work. As the title says, don't worry. I've tried connecting 16 gauge zip cord and there's really no way I can get a decent solder joint on chrome steel, especially when trying to keep the LED connected. After trying this for 20 minutes I was so disgusted that I just threw the whole pack away. I would return them but I don't even feel like…

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Only available in black
