I've followed some tips from other reviews. I put a new button on my old key fob and it worked! No trips to the dealer etc. Now I was ready to go to the dealer to have it programmed if my keyboard wasn't the problem. I'm glad it did - you can beat the price!

I have a 2005 Buick Lacrosse CXL with remote start and this little kid is programmed to it right away. Everything works! The locksmith even verified that the keyless remote worked before attempting to program it. Costs $50. Saved me about half the price they would charge me for their remotes plus programming. I will order a second remote control.

I bought these based on whether the remotes had bad rubber and carbon pads or the remotes themselves. Luckily it was just pads. Swapped them out with the standard pads on both remotes and they worked like a charm. They stick out a lot more than standard keys, giving a much nicer touch rather than having to dig your finger into the key slot.

I bought this because I thought it would work instead of spending $250 at the dealer. It said it was compatible and the description said it would fit my Chevy Malibu. When it arrived I followed the instructions and went to the website to find out how to program it. The website says it doesn't fit my car. A lot of the bad reviews are because it is NOT user programmable. This is not an FOB issue. This is a GM setting for most post 2006 vehicles. You will need a Half Descent scanner, not a generic $60 OBDII scanner. It took 5 minutes to program on a 2009 Malibu. 4.5 minutes connected to the car and searched for a function in the menu. I used Maxidas DS708. It looks like an OEM and works the same. It feels just as flimsy and lacking in button feedback as the OEM. I can't say anything about…
