Please don't let me down, please don't let me down, you're perfect.

I hope this thing doesn't fail because it works exactly the way I want it to. I have a Dell XPS laptop which I have configured to only display on my LARGE monitor so the laptop screen is black. Dell AlienWare Desktop is my other machine. Toggle lights up on Dell XPS laptop screen when laptop is off - PERFECT. The monitor turns on quickly with each switch. Please don't make a mistake, please don't make a mistake, you are perfect.

Pros
  • Bidirectional DP Switch: The DisplayPort switch lets you connect two DP sources to one DP display, or connect a DisplayPort source to switch between two displays. (IMPORTANT NOTE: Two displays CANNOT be shown at the same time) (When connected to a source or display, you must use a USB cable to power the splitter. If you do not turn on the splitter, your Source or your display doesn't show anything)
Cons
  • Not bad

Finally found a solution for my limited 1 DP input monitors

I bought 5 different DP HDMI cables/adapters (active/passive) and none of them could deliver 60Hz for my AW3821DW monitor (3840x1600) (from my Dell E5300 laptop). The maximum frequency I could get over HDMI 2.0 was 30Hz. When using DisplayPort to DisplayPort I was able to get 60Hz, but I needed this connector for my personal PC which requires 144Hz. This solution works great and I can get the best of both worlds.

Pros
  • Displayport Splitter: Supports 8K@30Hz, 4K@120Hz, 1080P@240Hz resolution, delivers up to 32.4Gbps and is backward compatible with all previous DP standards . (In order to enjoy the visual effects, you need to connect a standard DP 1.4 cable.) We recommend cables at both ends, ie the sum of the input and output cables should not exceed 3 meters. If it exceeds 3 meters, the signal may be shielded.
Cons
  • Interchangeable

Works great!: Satellite TV Hardware

I use it to switch my DisplayPort monitor between my Mac laptop and a Windows PC. I don't usually shift when they're on, so I can't comment on how well they shift in that regard. For my use case, however, this has worked perfectly so far. G-SYNC works great for gaming on my PC and I can get full resolution and refresh rate (3440 x 1440 x 120Hz) on both devices. No complaints - works exactly as advertised, good price and appears to be well built.

Pros
  • Displayport 8K DP 1.4 Switch: Supports resolutions of 8K@30Hz, 4K@120Hz, 1080P@240Hz, up to 32.4Gbps and backwards compatibility with all previous DP standards . (You must connect a standard DP 1.4 cable to enjoy the graphics.)
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Not working 3440x1440@120Hz Windows 10 20H2, Nvidia GPU. fail!

Despite all the "formats" listed on the product page, 3440x1440P@120Hz does NOT work My specs are: AMD 3900x, 32GB DDR4, EVGA 2080Ti XC Hybrid, 34" Alienware Ultrawide 3440x1440 @ 120Hz This adapter does NOT work However it does work with my Macbook model Mid 2015 Pro at 120Hz So this is definitely a Windows issue It doesn't work anyway so avoid it if you plan to use my configuration. Also the packaging was super crazy plastic bag with all sorts of specs listed that don't match the "USB-C"โ€ฆ

Pros
  • IMPORTANT NOTE: two displays CANNOT be shown simultaneously) (if connected to a source or display, you must use a USB cable to power the splitter. If you do not turn on the splitter, your source will show or your display does nothing
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Doesn't work for me.

I have a MacBook Pro connected to my computer. Mac works fine on both ports. When I switch to my computer, the screen just flashes back and forth. This works on 2080ti with Gsync on and off at 3440 x 1440 120Hz. The Mac also runs at the same resolution and refresh rate with no issues. I'm not sure what is causing this problem. I've tried everything I can think of but looks like I'll have to bring this back as the only reason for this was to be able to switch between PC and Mac.

Pros
  • Displayport 8K DP 1.4 Switch: Supports 8K@30Hz, 4K@120Hz, 1080P@240Hz, transfer rates up to 32.4Gbps, and backward compatibility with all previous DP standards. (A standard DP 1.4 cable must be connected to enjoy the images.)
Cons
  • Power outlet required
