Description of πŸ”Œ LS Oil Galley Diverter Restrictor Barbell Engine Block Plug for GM Chevy 1997-2014 LS Series Engines LS1 LS3 LS2 LQ4 LQ9 LS6 L92 L99 L33 4.8L 5.3L 5.7L 6.0L 6.2L Vortec

Replace your old worn-out LS Oil Passage Diverter to prevent oil seepage or oil bypassing the oil filter. This is also a part that is overlooked when reassembling an engine which will cause little to no oil pressure resulting in engine failure. Compatible with ALL Chevrolet GM LS Series Engines 1997-2014 (99-2013 4.8L,5.3L,6.0L,6.2L Vortec Truck Engines) LS1, LS2, LS3, LS6, LS7, LS9, GM 4.8L 5.3L 6.0L 6.2L. Also Fits LSX LM7 LR4 LQ4 LQ9 L33 LH6 L92 L76 L99 L96 L82 L83 L84 L86 L87 Engines. This installs in the oil galley hole behind the rear engine cover on the rear of the engine on the driver side. Non-O-ring end goes into block 1st. If you are not sure if your rebuilt or fresh rebuild with little or no oil pressure is missing this, you can remove the rear threaded oil galley plug above the oil filter location and see if you can see the shaft of this barbell through the hole. Comes with 1ea oil passage barbell. We are an AS9100D and ISO 9001:2015 Certified Manufacturer that produces aerospace parts for The Boeing Aircraft Company and The US Military. Works like an oil restrictor OEM

Like the other review I am really happy with the product. It fits as an OEM product. I bought the metal thinking it would be better because it's not plastic, but it didn't even fit and I had to put it down to make it work. I decided I didn't want any sharing issues and decided to get this. I'm glad I did.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Out of style

It should be necessary to replace.

If you are replacing the rear main oil seal and seal, you must also replace this component. Just think about it, all that work to see that little detail that could cost you an engine! The price is nothing compared to what it can prevent in the long run. Yes, there are updated versions, so check it out. This part fits well, a little tight but secure.

Pros
  • Brilliantly Done
Cons
  • Disappears

Perfect fit for 5.7L LS1

The overall quality is very good and looks well made. After removing the old beam you will see what a difference there is between the old and the new. Be sure to apply a small amount of oil to the o-ring to help it slide easily. Don't push it in too hard, for the most part you really can't as long as you push it in so it's almost flush with the back of the block. More will be purchased for two more engines under construction.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Other interesting options are available.
