Please don't listen to Jessica or SW This sharpener is fantastic! It holds up well over time, contrary to what Jessica said. It should also sharpen unevenly. The angle helps keep the pencil in place SW I wouldn't buy any other sharpeners because I come across them often. But I've had it for 5 years and it still works!

I am an elementary school art teacher. I'm having a really hard time finding an electric pencil sharpener that lasts. I need a sharpener that sharpens to a good point the first time. Elementary school students can be cruel with sharpeners. I bought a yellow Ticonderoga electric pencil sharpener about 3 years ago. So far so good and easy to sharpen. I bought 4 more pencil sharpeners for the 2017-2018 school year, 3 black and 1 yellow. If this was a bad product I wouldn't buy any other.

I think this may be the first 1 star review I have to write for a product but I am so disappointed with my experience that I want to warn other potential buyers. I am a teacher and used this product for maybe a total of 6 weeks before final school year ended in June.
