The only thing that irritates me is that the motor is not included. I think I should have looked into it more carefully before buying. But now that I have a motorized focus wheel, it works great! Easy to use and the wheel is smooth, I doubt anyone can use it to focus on choppy transitions. Worth buying.

Ok this is a great gadget and it works well for me but check the supported lenses for this device before purchasing. Although I shoot with a Canon 5D Mark IV, I use a Sigma 18-35mm when shooting 4K video. This lens (Sigma 18-35mm) is not supported, so the lens will not focus when using this button. My supported Canon lenses work great with this focus knob.

Was just about to return this add-on (and the focus motor I bought) to my Ronin SC after several hours of unsuccessfully trying to calibrate the focus motor with my GH5. Here's the good news for GH5 users: when using lenses that work with autofocus, you do NOT need a focus motor. Just a focus wheel. Connect the GH5 to your computer, set it to manual focus and you can focus from the steering wheel. Wonderful! And I'm a complete idiot for not knowing that. If you only use manual focus lenses on…
