    Excellent base for 8 " or 10 " DMT diamond stones

    Bought this base for a second Duosharp 10" diamond stone The kit includes 12 rubber pads; eight for the bottom and four for the top of the base. Place the brick clips in the outer slots for 10" bricks or in the inner slots for 8" bricks. It will hold the Stone very good, doesn't slip when sharpening and removes or replaces stones quickly I use one for my fine/extra fine stone and the other for my medium/extra fine stone.

    Do not buy if using Dia-Sharp Stones

    This benchstone holder may be perfect for Duo-Sharp stones, but is totally useless for Dia-Sharp. I only bought it because I read it fits both. What a disappointment. The holder is made of plastic and practically not adjustable in size. It didn't fit my Dia-Sharp 8x3 bricks. To solve this problem, they provided 4 rubber rings to hold the stone. Needless to say, this worked terribly, especially when water was used to lubricate. The stones kept falling and I had to improvise to keep them in…

    Stable base for heavy duty sharpening

    I use this base to hold 4" DMT whetstones and to sharpen chisels and planes. These heavy objects can move through the loose sanding system. Also, DMT stones are used when wet making the table top slippery unless you are much more careful than me. I was very happy with the plastic base. It never moved even when placed on a wet mold. The increased height allowed me to run the tool along the edge and level the back of the chisel without catching my fingers on the table surface. Eight rubber discs…
