Dapper Style with Dockers Sinclair Kiltie Loafer - Elegant Black Review

Please note: This 5-star rating was given after wearing the shoes several times. There were several other reviews that raised concerns about durability. I haven't worn these shoes long so I can't say how long they will last. These are really good, comfortable loafers. Great for everyday. I'm really looking forward to getting the soles of these shoes :) -- hopefully it's going to be a long, long time before that happens.

As with some other reviews, my side seems to split on the right shoe. The funny thing is my last pair of shoes were the same style and brand that I bought from a thrift store in St Vincent so I have no idea how old they were before I bought them, but they were almost well worn with no tread left. Have been ordering Sperry Black/Tan Kiltie Loafers for years. Great with jeans, great with slacks. Sperry discontinued this model. I used to have Dockers shoes. Couldn't find a combination of black and brown so I bought a pair of tan ones and am waiting for the black to come in stock in my size. Well built shoes, comfortable so far. Fits as advertised (width 9). Good arch support for moccasins and a good sole. Will buy again and as I said will buy again when "my size" black is available.

I ordered 11W which arrived and they were a lot narrower and shorter than a few years ago when I bought the same shoes. I sent this pair back and ordered 11.5 watts. I was credited to my account via a Revain gift card, then my account was charged for a replacement pair using the gift card balance - very odd method, but I didn't participate in either the credit or chargeback. The spare pair was an 11.5 watt box with an 11 watt shoe. Didn't help so I returned it for a refund and looked elsewhere…

Three times as nice, as the saying goes. It's all about finding the right size for that shoe. We ordered my father's (1st) size 8M, too small - too short. So of course we increased the size by 1/2 and ordered 8.5m. This pair of shoes was 2 inches (according to my measurements) longer. I work as a waiter in a fancy New York restaurant and am on my feet for over 10 hours a day. That's why it's so important to me to wear a pair of shoes that combine looks, comfort and durability. I can say without hesitation that these loafers absolutely coped with all of these tasks. Not only do they look really smart, but they also prevent sore feet at the end of the day, which is certainly a very desirable thing in a pair of boots.

So these are the only casual shoes my husband and dad will wear. They both love kilts with tassels and the fact that they're laceless pumps. EVERYONE has used that style (Sperry, Bass, Cole Khan) but they've all moved away from it by changing their styles a bit and the men in my life HATE the new styles. I buy them in bulk and my mom and I keep a pair in the closet when one of them wears out! The Docker brand is made with the same craftsmanship as the old Sperry or Bass shoes :-(
