I am very impressed with this docking station. It is very important that I can connect up to 3 monitors to my laptop. I use this docking station with my Alienware M 17 R 4 laptop. This docking station gives me a dual cable docking solution, one for the docking station and one power cable. The power supply works but my laptop has a 330w power adapter so the power supply is only good for light use. It worked fine when all 3 monitors were connected. I am using an extended display and my laptop does not have an ethernet port. As a result, sometimes the wifi that disconnects from the meeting resets. I've bought other hubs before but needed the perfect hub for traveling. This particular center is small but mighty. All of my peripherals run on it while I'm on the go, but it fits easily in my carry-on since it's compact and doesn't weigh much. My travel computer has a limited number of ports for USB, HDMI, flash drives, etc. and when I plug something into the computer, they are on either side of the laptop, resulting in a tangle of cables. I have two external monitors, one with an HDMI connector and one with a VGA connector. It was the cheapest docking station I could find that could accept both connections. There are many others that can do the same thing as this one but at twice the price. I also have a mouse and network cable and they all work great. The dock gets warm but never feels hot. I use it all day for work and have never noticed any functional issues or overheating. No driver needs to be installed, just plug and play.

Smaller than I expected so I can put it in my bag when traveling and I like the wide range of ports, especially the VGA port for connecting to older projectors. I definitely wouldn't use it as a permanent dock; It's too small and light to plug in a ton of things at once and will get in the way on a desk. Also, some of the ports (particularly VGA) are a bit finicky and get quite hot when used with a monitor or projector.
