This rechargeable collar is durable and not too heavy/bulky for small to medium sized breeds. Bought 2nd time just to have a backup. We have lots of wild animals ie coyotes, fishing cats etc and while my small dog is being exercised he can get distracted by all the smells off the leash. I need an absolute path for it to stay close and come back when called. Never used the kick function. He hears a beep and immediately comes back for his reward. He loves his collar.

We bought these 4 collars after our old 4 batteries died. I researched which collar had the best reviews and decided to stick with the Dog Care brand. We've always had good luck with their collars and these collars are no different. We have 4 strong Staffordshire Terriers that we try to train not to jump on people and not to dig holes. So far we have had remarkable success. We recommend the Dog Care brand. Thank you for creating such a wonderful product.

Overall a pretty good product. I would recommend it. However, the receiver's battery doesn't last as long as we'd like. I have to charge every day or two. If your dog requires constant monitoring and training, I would recommend getting a second receiver collar that alternates when the other charges. Finally, I would recommend purchasing a replacement plastic collar to replace the regular non-plastic collar that comes with the kit.

The dog hates him. And me too, half the time. The biggest complaint is that it turns itself off automatically and I have to keep turning it back on. So it's hard to blame immediately when the fool has passed out. (And yes, smart @ssess, it's fully charged). However. It is effective which is why I gave it more than 1 star. My other dog was using it as a chew toy when she ripped it off her brother's neck. But it still works. (Licks, but keeps ticking).

I'm about to return it as the part of the collar that was sewn to the receiver came loose and there was no way to sew it back on. the collar had to be tightened constantly every day and was not strong enough to withstand the stresses. They only get a good review because they give you a five star paid review. Don't waste your time with this garbage! It works great for a couple of days and then doesn't hold a charge and every time you turn it on it has to be paired with the remote. I tried 5 collars in less than 6 weeks and each had the same issue. They no longer hold a charge and will not remain paired with the remote control. The collar is a bit bulky for a small dog (miniature collie) but overall not too heavy so it works. The battery life was amazing and the workout was great! I ordered a second one for my older dog so I can beep from the same remote (up to 3 collars). I love this option! I also like the key lock. so I don't accidentally hit or punish the dog when it's in my bag. The remote was charged when I got it and I charged it fully and haven't charged it since and I leave it on all the time! Lightweight/not

So far, so good! I live in some country and these collars give me some leeway when my two young dogs decide they'd rather cut themselves than listen to me!
