I ordered it because I wanted a brown door. .

I ordered this because I wanted a brown door. Mistake. It was very difficult to figure out the installation, it was pretty flimsy and cheap. I sent it back and received the PetSafe Large Freedom Aluminum Pet Door in premium white and it was a dream compared to the brown door.

Pros
  • This is amazing

Cheap, ugly plastic and expensive return shipping

Buyers beware. The plastic looks very cheap. I paid to install it and then paid to remove it, it was so ugly. The seller accepted the return but since they ship from England and you have to pay for the return postage ($35) it's not even worth it.) What a piece of junk and a waste of $50+. :-(

Incomplete sealing is best in doors

The dust felt around the sheet does not go all the way through leaving gaps in the top corners. This wouldn't be a problem if there was a rail to replace with a longer piece, but the "fluff" is glued on. I have a nice 1/4" gap at the top two corners that's like a mini wind tunnel. Due to allergies and dust in the windy Sonoran Desert, I needed a full seal. Disappointed.

Not bad, in general.

We bought this for our large cat who didn't quite fit the standard sized cat flap. The only thing we didn't like about this hatch was the included plastic fillers to fill in the gaps between the door and the hatch itself. This depends on the width of the door you are mounting the flap on. Although they would have worked, we decided to cut small pieces of plywood and use them instead. Overall I would recommend this product. It's quiet and pet friendly.

  • Decent performance
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Absolutely normal. in Doors

The large size is perfect for my 90lb Lab and 80lb Raccoon. Installation took about an hour; The screws had to be cut to the thickness of our door. The door swings well on its hinges and closes tightly. This door was installed on an interior door where wind is not a problem but seems to keep the cold out of an unheated hallway. The lock pad fits snugly, although it does get a bit annoying when you slide it in. The swing door is a bit heavy which can be a problem for older or weaker dogs. We…

Good Buy: Dogs

We needed a dog door for our garage so our dog could come and go as he pleases during the winter. The door is made of durable plastic and the flap is made of hard, transparent plastic that won't blow in the wind but is easy for the dog to open. There is a second plastic door that slides in to "latch" the door so nothing can get in or out when not in use. It took our dog a while to get used to the door, we put treats on one side to help him get through then the other. He would have passed, but…
