Works for some dogs, not for others.

I give it three stars as it works very well with our Boxer but not at all with the Basset Hound. A Basset Hound can have it at a high (127) and constant level and they don't seem to notice it at all. Sometimes he notices the side, but not when it really matters. If you have a dog that doesn't have a lot of loose skin around their necks I would highly recommend it, but if your dog has loose skin I wouldn't recommend it at all.

This electronic collar system has been an incredible help in off leash training of our dogs. We have two Australian mixes of high yielding cattle. Before we had this e-collar, getting them to come back after chasing something, let alone stopping them from escaping, was almost impossible. be trustworthy off the leash. The collars fit well and the remote control is easy to use and has good battery life. For our dogs, the vibrating alert is basically all we need to get them back. Now I can walk…

Fake lifetime warranty + Low batteries

It's great when the device works but we've only had this product for about 2 months and the batteries in the remote and collar are starting to run out. Now they don't last 4 hours so we have to charge constantly. Watch out for Dogtra's unlimited warranty because you have to ship the product back to them and they won't give you a refund or credit as long as they have the device for 2-5 days. So I am returning my product today, it costs me $25 and I have to stop exercising for a week or more…

Life just got a lot better

I bought a cheap dog collar and it was a total failure when dog 2 barked and dog 1 ripped the collar. I decided to try something more serious and found this. This "tool" is primarily for teaching hounds to serve, but we've used it to try to get our sheltie pal to stop barking as excessively (and a bit of obedience, like "come" is better). We have a 5 year old and a 2 year old and the 5 year old was teaching the 2 year old what to bark at. They barked at anything with a motor. Lawnmowers…
