has been out of service for less than a month. We call customer service because the warranty is 1 year and they advise us to buy a new charger that comes with the collar. I understand that any item may be defective, but there is no guarantee that it is counterfeit.

Remote Control Training Collar turns a monster into a teddy bear. Like day and night. Used for the first time and works much better than expected. I think the collar should be used in conjunction with a professional trainer to get the best out of your pet. The only downside is that after charging you have to remember to pair it with the remote again.

I love the Dogtra Ecolar and have always used it with my previous dog (280c series). I received this and found when trying to determine my dog's sensitivity that the nick button wasn't working at all. Also, the on/off contact point on the remote control is in a terrible place. Revain customer service just put me through to customer service which is down. I'm going back and buying the 280c which I thought was the best overall product.

The remote control stopped working after using it twice. I sent it to the manufacturer and they left a voicemail saying "I damaged it and need to pay $101.97 to have it replaced." Dogtra is able to leave his non-working remote control; I would be happy to buy another training collar from a well-known manufacturer.

The first collar we received didn't even work. The heart rate function worked, but I put my fingers on it at 20 and still felt nothing compared to when it first came up and I immediately felt a beat.
