Fridge Lamp - Replacement Parts

This is an exact replacement for my Dometic travel fridge. When in doubt, take your current lightbulb and measure it. Should be 41mm. A bit expensive although -1 star.

Pros
  • Automotive
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Overpriced, poor packaging, better options

These bulbs (you get two) are still grossly overpriced for what you get. They also bounce in oversized packaging, so the bulbs may be damaged before you receive them. It makes sense to use traditional incandescent bulbs (like this one) which produce heat IF you use a "low ambient switch" on your fridge in very cold weather, otherwise almost any suitable incandescent bulb of 10 watts or less is better. with your money and LEDs would probably be even better.

Pros
  • Gears and Parts
Cons
  • Exterior

I'm just not happy that I paid a higher price for a real Dometic.

The lamps arrived on time and were not broken. But these are not Dometic lamps. They came in a clear plastic box with no markings other than a numbered sticker that appeared to be a camp number. I paid extra for real Dometic bulbs to make sure they work. I could spend less and get more conventional lightbulbs. These lamps really worked, I just didn't like that I paid a higher price for original Dometic lamps and only got a few normal lamps.

Pros
  • Spare parts
Cons
  • I have no particular complaints about it, everything is fine
