Huge upgrade! in the bathroom

Huge upgrade from the old cheap plastic toilet that appeared in our 2011 Springdale. I love a real toilet seat and foot pedal! The camper no longer smells like a black cistern because the old toilet contained the black cistern in a hollow seal. This one is solid to the ground.

Pros
  • Absolutely great!
Cons
  • So So

LOVE IT! - Spare parts and accessories for vans

Replaced our old plastic in our van. The difference between day and night! The porcelain bowl uses 1/2 the rinse water and stays clean for more than twice as long. Easy replacement, but I've already replaced the RV feed line with a cut stainless steel flex line. If you still have the plastic line, you may need to change it. I have used a shark bite attachment and had no problems with it.

Pros
  • A sea of positive emotions
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Major upgrade of the all-plastic Dometic 300

My new camper came with an all-plastic Dometic 300 that creaked and rattled like crazy. we hated it Nobody needs the whole camper to hear every time they drive around in a craper. I first ordered the 320 without measurements and unfortunately there wasn't room for it (a shame because it's a great, completely homelike device). Changed it to this 310 and it's still a big upgrade. This was achieved with an improved slow-closing wooden seat. I had to trim the wall a bit to fit, but it was worth it.

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Some little things

Great replacement for Aqua Magic Aurora!

Our vintage motorhome had a flat Thetford toilet when purchased. The seat was cracked and the paddle valve worn, so the smell of the black tank filled the bathroom. It did not stand up to scrutiny and was generally terrible. Can't say enough good things about Dometic! Arrived quickly, well packaged, very easy to assemble. Finally, an adult toilet with a great easy-to-clean flush, tight seals that hold water, and a soft-shut lid is awesome. Who would have thought that I would be so excited to go

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • The cord is shorter than others

No more squeaky toilets smelling of urine.

We had a Dometic 300 in our camper. Little did we know that it had a great deal of criticism. Gone are the days when Dometic couldn't do anything about it, so we just bought this one. The old one creaked and groaned when they sat on it, the lid was thin making it impossible to sit or stand on it. , and what we didn't know was that the base case was filled with urine. The 300's flap mechanism malfunctioned, causing urine to enter the fuselage instead of flowing down the shaft. The whole bathroom

Good price for toilets and parts

This is a huge improvement over the replacement. The RV mechanic asked why we bought such an expensive toilet to replace the old one. that gave me confidence to buy. He had no idea it was less than $200! The only disappointment was that we didn't realize the base would be plastic. Upon closer inspection, it was in the description. but one of the comments said it was all ceramic. The kit included everything needed for the installation except for a new water supply line. Thus, no rings or…

Good toilet mostly

These toilets have a known defect: the connection between the plastic base and the ceramic bowl breaks and starts to leak. And since it's not a fixable problem, the only solution is to replace the toilet. I looked around and most other places were much more expensive especially the local RV shops which were double the price. The soft close seat was also a very nice upgrade from the old toilet seat. An installation note, lowering it doesn't use a wax ring like your home toilet. They use a…

Dometic Model 310 RV Toilet

Easiest to install. It literally took me 10 minutes to install this replacement toilet in our RV. All hardware and new gasket were included. The only tools I needed were a 3/8 inch (10mm) wrench, some paper towels, and some detergent. My motorhome had the same toilet when we bought it. The only difference between the original and the replacement was that the new replacement has a soft-closing seat and lid. Those are nice features. No more slamming the toilet seat or lid. 1. Turn off the water…
