Durable camera day bag that can also hold a small tablet.

I already have an F6, very old and worn. I am sure it has been washed many times. I replaced that. I like the bag because I carry my camera, usually a Nikon DSLR, a flash, a small C Crane portable radio and other items in the main compartment. Best of all is the open pocket on the back which is perfect for my Kindle Fire in its neoprene sleeve.

Discreet camera bag with great design

Smaller Lowepro bag upgrade as it was too small for all my gear. That's a great bag. Yes, the sides aren't shrouded, but this is a camera, why are you tossing it around? The most important part (below) is quite soft. I bought this olive green bag and together with my old army backpack made my trip to Tanzania unnoticed. Much better than all black camera bags that scream "CAMERA INSIDE". In my bag I have the following: Nikon D800 with 18-55mm (or 50mm) lens attached 50mm main lens 60mm macro…

Good bag needs an update

This bag has become my favorite bag to take with me everywhere. It holds my camera (D90) with a 16-85 lens attached and has a 4 pocket insert where I carry 2-3 extra lenses and an SB600 flash. There is also a large zipped front pocket for various items, a back welt pocket for thin items such as manuals etc. and a zipped pocket in the flap. I configured it with an insert on one end of the bag and I have enough room for my camera with a lens attached to the other end. I find the bag durable, well

Don't complain about zips

I've been using Domke bags for about 20 years and I'm surprised people complain about zips keeping bags closed. If you have at least a thumb and a finger on one hand, they're no harder to open than any other fastener. I suspect the reason Domke uses these spring latches is because it's the only latch that won't accidentally open. I have a lot of gear with plastic snaps or similar on a dog leash or carabiner and sooner or later they accidentally open (and the plastic snaps wear out and break)…

Excellent bag for mirrorless cameras

Bought this bag for my Fuji mirrorless system. I have x-e2, Fuji x100s, Fujinons 10-24, 18-55, 55-200 and 56 1.2 and Canon 550ex flash. They are located in the main compartment with an insert in the middle. Housings with attached lenses fit on the sides of the liner. I can have any lens on the x-e2 and it fits in a bag. The front compartment contains 2 wireless flash triggers, 4 AA batteries, 3 lenses, 2 boost rings, a 72mm 10-stop ND filter, 2 3-stop 62mm ND filters, a 72- mm polarizer and a…

Domke F-6: Great medium sized camera bag

So I bought this bag just 2 months after buying a $6M bag from Crumpler. Curious to know why I didn't like the Crumpler (read more): The reason is there was too much stuffing in the crumpler bag, I mean I'm not going to throw it away. And so I didn't have much space for my gear! In addition, the main valve of the Crumpler bag is a giant piece of Velcro, so you can't be invisible at a wedding or other important event. DOMKE F-6 REVIEW Appearance: I like that it's not an obvious camera bag. I…

Excellent work backpack, less so for gear protection

Category -- SIZE: The bag is smaller than I thought it would be. I bought it to use with Canon 300D, 50/1.4, 100/2, 70-200/4L and 18-55/3.5 kit lenses. This set fits but is a little tighter than I would like. Since then I have upgraded to 40D, 28-135, 10-22, 50/1.4, 200/2.8, 1.4X TC and 430EX Flash. This is really the maximum for this bag. Ideally, it would be one or two medium-sized lenses less. In order to fit the hips, the F6 needs to have two open spots in the center baffle. It's really for
