Losing a star because it's not as bright as a real 40 watt bulb. No problem! I use a 50 year old clamp lamp. A real 40W incandescent bulb gets very hot. Short service life, risk of burns. THIS BULB is an LED and should have excellent lifespan, very low heat dissipation and good luminous flux. Very happy with the purchase!

Not as bright as the 40w bulbs they replaced but certainly bright enough. The warm color of the pears is excellent. IMHO a perfect replacement that will probably last 20 years and save 72 watts every hour they are used. The design of the Kitchen Aid hood makes lamp replacement difficult, as the lenses are held in place by hard-to-tighten Phillips screws on the back. reach and hold to tighten the screws. LEDs should last a long time.

From the start a plain white box with no name, with a small instruction sheet printed on it, no name, no company, no warnings, no certificates. This is a simple lightbulb, it looks good, works great. But there is absolutely no reference to rules or certifications. There is nothing on the bulb to indicate wattage/power etc. If you need something in a pinch, this will work.
