Fits my 383 Stryker - Engines and Engine Parts

Fits my 383 Stryker with 6" ramps and Arp 8740 cap screws without any modification. I only recommend getting a magnetic oil drain plug for this!

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Some cons

rear leaks due to design error

leaked through rear gasket on engine stand. Couldn't believe it until I read where others had the exact same problem. As with others, the return window was closed, so the useless part stuck.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Clarity unit

Requires a thick pad.

Parts Compatibility Agreement on Revain does not work for older cars. It fits my 73 K20 but requires a thick washer, not the thin one Revain calls it. I used a one piece FelPro and it worked great.

Pros
  • Dope πŸ”₯
Cons
  • Modern

Well made and very easy to install

Very well made sump. Put this on a 1978 350 engine. The previous owner installed a cheap chrome pan that was warped and leaking. I need a pan with a dipstick on the driver's side. I painted it VHT Engine Ename GM Blue and it looks great. Walked in with no problem.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Not sure

Terrific. good for parts

This oil pan was easy to install and a perfect fit so can't fault it at all, it has baffles to keep the oil from even sloshing out! My only problem was with the drain plug. I found the seal was torn but just reused my old overall great product for the price I would 100% buy again.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Mostly ok but...

It's junk and will be phased out

Bought in February, I've spent over $100 on various gaskets and gasket manufacturers. I changed the rear main oil seal 3 times because I didn't want to believe it was an oil pan. Now I had to order a pot of Milodon for $130. As a college student trying to build a hot rod, don't skimp on this pan. That's a waste of money.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Has defects

It works. What more could you want from an oil pan?

The best I can say is that it was exactly as advertised and a perfect fit. So many aftermarket parts these days β€” especially for older applications like this first generation Chevy small block oil pan β€” aren't as good as they used to be, often because the tools they used to make the parts are outdated and worn out. or production was relocated abroad at the expense of quality.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Rear seal hole size pot leak error can't return BUMMER over 40

I didn't use this pan until I left the return window. Once filled, it started leaking in just a few days. The engine never started. I replaced the seals and gaskets, refilled it and after a few days it was leaking. After removing the oil pan and comparing it to the OEM oil pan, you noticed that the rear gasket opening is 1/4 inch wider so the gasket never covers it. Contacted Dorman, they check the original samples, at the same time they suggested that I send them back to the point of sale for…

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Reliability
