Expensive but worth every penny!

These little suction cups do it! I had hanging doors on my '07 GMC truck. Bought to solve a problem. They are NOT cheap. About $20 for a set, and 2 doors need 4 sets! Removing old pins by filing or grinding is also hard work. But it still saved me hundreds of dollars on repairs (and the body shop would probably use the same parts!). Great, well thought out pivot pin replacement!

Closes with a light touch.

Wow what a difference. My door was misaligned and irreparably damaged the latch mechanism (I just bought a truck). It probably took 45 minutes to swap out the pivots. There is a top pin and a bottom pin, so check the hinge carefully before installing. I used my saw to cut off the bottom of the old pins. After trimming, the old studs fell out. In my opinion these with a nut below are what you need. Other kits that use a c-clip are more difficult to install.

Best replacement pins on the market

I have been struggling with a sagging door and noise on my 2000 Silverado for the past 5 years. I've bought other sets of pins and they only helped reduce wind noise and never aligned the door properly. In six months the door will be worse than ever. I decided to try them and I can't believe the great results. I no longer have to roll down the window so I can slam the door to close it. I never had to worry about speeding because the noise would be too loud if I drove over 80 km/h, now I'm so…

Great product for the do-it-yourselfer

The driver's door on my 2002 Silverado sagged badly, to the point where crosswinds on the freeway were causing a horrible rumble. To the point where I couldn't speak in my pickup truck. I ordered these and am very glad I chose them over the cheaper ones. They have a solid construction and will completely solve the problem of a sagging door. ATTENTION: This is hard work! Go to Youtube and watch the process before adopting it. This can be done by DIY but make sure you understand how long it will…

Poor quality is best in Body

I have a body shop in South Florida. I use Dorman hinge bushing kits all the time and have never had a problem with them. In this case, I used these kits to repair a Chevy 03 3500 truck for a workshop customer near me on May 24, 2018. Today, 03/19/2019, the truck is back in service and the bushings are already worn out by copper dust in the door jamb. I replace them with GM kits. They're $80 a loop instead of $24 a loop and I'm eating work. I think it's a quality control issue as the bushing is

Driver's door on my 2002 Suburban

The door wouldn't close if I didn't lift it up when closing. Bought these pins, fast delivery and arrived as expected. U-Shaped shot some videos of changing the hinges to get an idea of the task ahead and pulled out my engine jack, a small weight ratchet strap and a Dremel tool with a decent heavy duty cut-off wheel. He lowered the window, strapped the door to the jack, and relieved the hinges. Removed three bolts, lifted the door slightly and swung it sideways far enough to insert a dremel and

Wow these babies are amazing. I just want them to offer a lock.

Wow these babies are amazing. I just wish they would have offered lock nuts three years ago, it's the only way to not feel like you need braces which they also didn't offer three years ago. They are just a waste of money for nothing as your braces are more likely to be like new. My truck has 265,000 miles and my mounts are fine. The most important thing is to replace the locknut and make sure the top pin is up and the bottom pin is down. They are different and not interchangeable. So make sure…

Great body and finish so far

First of all, as far as I can tell this is a great product. I'm hoping this lasts for a while (I've heard stories from a few people that aftermarket hinge repair systems don't always last, but this one seems good). I gave it one star because - at least at the time I bought mine - it had NO instructions and they weren't online. A call to Dorman's engineering department confirmed I knew how to do it, but I had to get over the "just like the old" comment. Excuse me? The old one wore out, and GM…
