My truck hasn't had a console button since I bought it used 3 years ago. Toyota wanted a few hundred bucks for the entire console assembly, not just offering the button, which often breaks, judging from the numerous posts on online forums. My Toyota Tacoma (2010) broke the center console latch over a year ago. Unfortunately, Toyota doesn't sell (or want) a simple latch. They want you to buy the whole console, which costs over $200. Perfect fit. It's a shame that Toyota doesn't offer this at its dealers itself. When I saw the tabs on the latch in the picture I wasn't sure. I didn't realize the top tongue went that far into the armrest cushion. I installed it this morning in less than 10 minutes. It fits our 2009 Toyota Tacoma Crew Cab 4x4 exactly. It's easy to replace. The console latch broke on my 2005 Tacoma a few months ago. I've tried to fix it but it won't take long.
