Simple but works and affordable.

Materials are a bit softer than units I've had in the past but you can easily cut them to length and they run smoothly once you have the internal cable and connection have smeared. .I have used this for a choke cable on a garden tractor, works perfectly.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Could have opted for a newer model

I would like to find something heavier

I used 2 pieces on the fuel pump. They tend to be sticky. Cable routing is crucial. Make sure there are no sharp bends. If the setup doesn't go smoothly, forcing them will break them. I would like to find something heavier.

Pros
  • A lot of positive emotions
Cons
  • A few problems

this didn't work for me.

I tried using it as a 73 MGB choke cable which has a braided cable. This cable is solid wire and was too stiff for normal operation, but is probably perfect for lawnmower throttle control or hundreds of other uses. Just not for mine. :-(

Pros
  • Constant test results
Cons
  • poorly thought out

Poor quality cable failed the first time.

Cable broke the first time. The cable was crimped to a threaded aluminum bracket/tube for attachment. Well I installed it on my mower and what do you know the first throttle wire came loose. Very thin, very poor quality.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Works well on straights but not so well on corners.

The inner "cable" is actually a hard wire. I used this control cable to replace a damaged throttle cable. My throttle cable is less than 3 feet long but has multiple coils making it difficult to operate the throttle. It would be better if the inner cable was braided instead of solid.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Long delivery time
