Fit 1993 F150 4.9 well

This is not the easiest part to replace. The hard part is removing the old part. When working on your own stuff, put a lot of never-eaten ones on both ends, and then install them. I am applying on the female and male side. It smokes a bit but maybe one day I can take it off to reuse if I'm lucky. Anyway, the part works great.

Pros
  • Rugged construction - stainless steel for durability
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

You can easily damage the pipe if you start hitting against it.

Hardware is correct. The tube is made of very hard metal and will not bend, allowing it to fit without bending the tube. Make sure you have the patience and strength to bend the pipe by hand. Or find someone who does. I made it You can easily damage the tube if you start hitting it with something. If necessary, use a block of wood against the pipe.

Pros
  • Quality Checked - Tested to ensure proper fit
Cons
  • Some issues

Does not fit 1993 F-150 4.9L

The tube was about an inch and a half too long, causing it to be out of level. Instead of returning it and waiting for a new one, betting that it would be different and having little time to complete the repair, I ended up trimming the tube to the correct length and reflaring it. After that it works great and that's the only reason I give it three stars, it should be less as I don't have to modify any part that claims to be a direct replacement for the original equipment.

Pros
  • Excellent value - OE quality at a lower price
Cons
  • The list will go on.
