Not like the photo but works perfectly.

The motor assembly I received had a round connector for the wiring harness. My 2002 F-150 shows a rectangular end cap. Except for the fork, the engine design is identical to my factory engine. The wire colors are all the same and in the same locations on the motor and sensor assembly, so I reused my old connector on the new motor. The engine runs fine but it would help to have the correct plug as shown in the picture.

  • Great design

2003 Ford F150 4x4 Transfer Case Motor Replacement

I purchased this replacement motor for a broken original Ford OEM transfer case motor. The original engine was easy to remove and installing the new Dorman engine in my truck was just as easy. So far, so good. Now the truck easily changes from 2WD to 4H and 4L. I only gave the new motor 4 stars because it is made by Dorman in India. It is recommended that the new motor be glued to the transfer case using black RTV sealant.

Electrical Problems Solved 1999 F150 4x4

Perfect fit for 1999 F150 with right angle connector. Installed in 15 minutes with no rush. I took out the ground pin/wire with a tiny flat head and reinstalled it on the new motor. I used the black gasket I had lying around, probably didn't need it. I saw an oil leak in the area so thought I would do it. In any case, the quality of the part seems to be good. Napa wanted to sell the exact same Dorman for $40 more. First I had to fix some vacuum issues in front of this part, behind the battery…

Wiring Replacement Required: Transfer Case Components

This engine worked well on a '97 Ford Expedition. I had to disconnect the wires from the included wiring harness. The yellow and orange were too thick even on the factory connector that had to be removed. This was either an attempt to drill new holes in the connector that came with this unit or move the 5 smaller wires into the old SUV connector and connect the 2 thick ones together. After tracing the wires color by color it was easier to season the 2 thicker ones and move the 5 thinner ones to

OEM Quality and Fit

Item as described. OEM quality and design. Prompt loading. Vehicle Application: 1998 f150 5.4l,4wd,4r100 automatic transmission PROBLEM SOLVED? - The car shifted unevenly and could not accelerate. It was sluggish when accelerating. The wide-open throttle caused the revs to be limited to 1500. The car acted like it was running out of fuel and/or pulling away in high gear. There were NO CODES in ODB2. Two stores diagnosed the problem - FRIED TRANSMISSION - price tag $2800. I denied and disagreed…
