Fits perfectly.: Feedback Actuator

This actuator is a perfect match for my 1995 Chevy 2500. Application Air recirculation door. Dorman is back on the market with a good aftermarket product.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Better than OEM for Engines

Precision fit, the part that breaks in the factory parts (I took mine apart to see what broke) is cast iron with a plastic gear pressed onto it which causes the plastic to break and then not work. Air doors do not move. On these, that part is made of the same material, so that won't happen.

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!

My problem solved! fits spares

Want to get rid of that annoying buzz/click coming from the passenger side next to the fan motor? Unplug this part first to see if the noise stops, buy this replacement (IMPORTANT: MAKE SURE YOU GET THE EXACT PART NUMBER), they have different electrical contact configurations. Follow the instructions and you're done. The hardest part is removing the top screw. I haven't reinstalled it since and it works great. Problem solved!

Pros
  • Best in the niche
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Get ready to test your patience.

I installed this actuator on a 95 gmc c1500. I followed the instructions that came with it. The instructions say not to connect to the network before installing. I gave it one star for installation, but that's not the drive's fault, it's where it's located. This is located behind the fan on the left and controls the recirculation and fresh air door. The glove box had to be removed to access the top ratchet screw, which gave me enough room to put my arm through. I used a 1/4" ratchet with a…

Pros
  • Like all previous ones
Cons
  • Requires socket

Problems with the air source flap? Get this.

The air source door operator on my 1998 GMC Sierra was going crazy. This is a door that controls either the supply of outside air or recirculation air. It's also the most troublesome of the drives to replace; The truck was built around this actuator and you will throw all sorts of curses at the constructors who caused this havoc over humanity. But I digress. I'm just warning you You know when those servo motor driven drives are biting the dust because you can hear them constantly spinning and…

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Concerns me
