NO MORE ENGINE CODES!

The product has served its purpose! Resetting my codes and the engine lights went out and the idle was smoother. The installation requires some care, but otherwise it's worth it!

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Negative impression

Perfect solution: hoses, lines and fittings

My Ford Windstar has code 171 and 174 all along. I took the opportunity to order this kit as my mechanic couldn't figure it out. The kit had everything you need and more. High quality, perfect fit. Dinner fast delivery. Buy this kit as it will solve all your vacuum problems.

Pros
  • Brilliantly made
Cons
  • Disappear

This kit contained all the necessary parts for the repair.

This kit contained all the parts needed to fix a vacuum leak on my 2002 Ford Windstar. It also eliminated the issue of the van going out of overdrive when going uphill at highway speed. This repair requires mechanical expertise.

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • Nothing

Doesn't solve the oil consumption problem.

I was hoping that the modified valve cover would prevent excess oil from entering the vacuum system intake. That does not work. I had to install an air valve to reduce the vacuum in the PVC line. Thus, the amount of oil entering the inlet is minimized. I am giving the product two stars because I needed a replacement hose and fittings. Other than this set, they're hard to find.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Available in white only

so far so good with hoses

I replaced parts in my 2003 Windstar a month ago, 3 days later the check engine light came on, I reset it and it still won't come on. i think it works If you have a 2003 model you don't need to buy the whole kit, you just need the intake isolator bolts (with green rubber). When I did the replacement all the gaskets, PVC and vacuum line were still fine, but since I bought kits I replaced them all except for the valve cover. Took me 3 hours including a trip to the dealership to get a cleaning…

1999 Ford Windstar SE 3.8L Lean (P0171 & P0174)

Bought this kit to repair my 1999 Ford Windstar SE 3.8L lean burn engine (DTC P0171 & P0174). Before I bought this gasket kit, my engine was idling rough, had poor fuel economy (10mpg city) and sometimes stalled at traffic lights. After replacing the original gaskets, my engine ran quieter, smoother and the error indicator was gone! I'll update my mpg later because it's only been a week. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 out of 5 was that two bolts on the valve cover prevented me from…

Worked as expected: Parts

I had some issues and DTCs P0171 and P0174. After some research, I found that the isolator bolts were the culprit, as well as the front valve cover on some models. I found this product on Amazon and decided to do the repair myself. I'm a craft lover and I don't really want to pay anyone for anything. It was pretty easy and self-explanatory. Just make sure you know the specific torque and tightening sequence when doing this. Everything came together pretty well. The only issue I had was the PCV…
